ArtsWest regrets to announce the cancellation of the previously announced production of SPECTRUM STORIES. ArtsWest strives to provide artists creative space where they can fully express themselves with authenticity. In furtherance of this, the devised new work was an effort to provide a brave space for artists on the autism spectrum to celebrate and share their stories with our community – a goal the ArtsWest team deeply supports and that aligns with the theater’s mission, vision, and values.
As the production evolved, conditions beyond ArtsWest’s control prevented the program from being fully expressive of its intended message or true to the core values of ArtsWest. Despite the cancellation, ArtsWest is thrilled to continue its creative relationship with the extraordinary group of devisors, actors, and designers who have formed community together.
ArtsWest looks forward to new future work with the ensemble that has formed. The beauty and challenge of live theater is that it is truly reflective of the human experience. In life, we are constantly learning, evolving, and finding new ways to connect and hold space for one another. ArtsWest is eternally grateful for all of your support and looks forward to sharing space with you again soon.
